This special award was created by members of the hospital’s Employee Engagement Committee to recognize employees who go above and beyond the call of duty on a regular basis. It is awarded monthly to a deserving employee selected by the hospital’s directors.
Fehlenberg has been employed by Gordon Hospital for 6 years and serves as the Oncology Dietitian with the hospital’s oncology department.
“Judy does an amazing job for our hospital and our patients,” says Lanell Jacobs, director of oncology services for Gordon Hospital. “She is passionate about helping others and consistently goes above and beyond in everything she undertakes.”
Fehlenberg recently led the Gordon Hospital Relay for Life team, which raised more than $10,000 for the American Cancer Society.
“I am honored to receive this award and I want to recognize the whole Relay for Life team from Gordon Hospital and their hard work,” Fehlenberg says. “It was a privilege to raise money to help the American Cancer Society in their fight against cancer.”
Fehlenberg received a Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics from Loma Linda University and a Master of Science degree in nutrition education from Georgia State University. In July, she and her husband, Steve, will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary. They have two daughters, Mandi, 25, and Brooke, 18. In her spare time,
