Gordon County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a 911 call of a gunshot wound victim around 1 p.m., Monday, June 11, to an I-75 rest area near Resaca, according to a press release from the Gordon County Sheriff's Office.

The body of 20-year-old Anthony Raymond Savelli, of Ohio, who died of "an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound," was found at the scene by sheriff's deputies, said the release.
