Trip Moore and Riley Anderson were the latest Calhoun Elementary School Jacket Gold students to appear on the Yawnbuster’s Morning Show with Ken Payne and Kevin Casey on WEBS Radio 1110AM.

Riley and Trip spoke about all of the exciting things going on at Calhoun Elementary and discussed the importance of doing their best in all they do each day.

After the radio appearance on WEBS, Trip and Riley received a “behind the scenes” tour of the studios of the new 94.5 WIPK Kickin’ Country radio station.

On-air personality Randy Rhodes Powell showed the students how songs are timed out, how the play list is created, when and where newscasts and weather reports are inserted, and even let Riley and Trip do a live cut in between songs.

Riley and Trip did a fantastic job representing CES, and WEBS may have cultivated their next morning talk show hosts through this experience.

We are so appreciative of WEBS and WIPK partnering with us this year to recognize the hard work of our students and we look forward to continuing working with them for years to come.
