Oakman Community VBS will be June 4 – June 8 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The location has been changed this year from Oakman Community Club to Oakman Baptist Church. Fairview Church of God and Oakman/Ranger United Methodist Church are also supporting this VBS. Registration with homemade ice cream will be Sunday, June 3 at 6:30 p.m. For more information call 706-334-2606.
The Conasauga Chapter of the Georgia Nurses Association will meet at the Whitfield County Health Center on 800 Professional Blvd., Dalton, on Monday, June 4, at 7 p.m. The meal will be dutch treat picnic and the program will be a planning meeting. All members are to bring a covered dish and ideas for future meeting subjects. For questions and to RSVP, please call J Bernice Whaley at 706-259-5508 by noon on Monday, June 4. All members and Registered Nurses are invited to attend.
The Rome Chapter 525 of The Military Order of the Purple Heart meets the first Monday of the month at the senior citizens center on the Kingston Hwy in Rome at 1900 hours. Anyone who has been awarded the Purple Heart is eligible for membership and is invited to attend the meeting and join the organization.
