Darlene was born on April 19, 1958 in Crummies, Ky., daughter of the late John M. Surber and Stella Smith Surber. She was preceded in death by one sister, Vickie Surber McCallister.
Survivors include; her husband, Mauro Sanchez Rodriquez of Calhoun, two sons; Austin Gonzales of Calhoun and Gary Ragan, Jr. and his wife Geralyn of Marietta, Ga., one daughter, Machelle Marrs and her husband Paul of Bixby, Okla., two brothers; John Surber, Jr. and his wife Christel of Subligna and Martin Surber of Nichols, Ga., one sister, Sandra Henry and her husband Gene of Savannah, Ga., two grandchildren; Leah Marrs and Devin Ragan also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 23 from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Norris Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include, Gary Ragan Jr., Austin Gonzales, John Surber Jr., Gene Henry, Ken McCallister, and Gary Silvers.
The family will receive friends Wednesday morning from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.
