Calhoun High School physics students recently participated in the fourth annual “Whatever Floats Your Boat” Contest.

Students had to construct a boat that could hold a minimum of two people, using only cardboard and duct tape. Then the students had to sail the boats across a swimming pool.

This year’s class designed many successful boats with the winning boat, designed by Trent Frix, Hunter Knight, Reed Allen, and Chase Rierson, holding 850 pounds.

Each year the activity is a favorite among the students and this year was no different. Mrs. Kendra Arnold would like to commend all of her physics students on a job well done.
