Mass Memorial Baptist Church will hold its annual homecoming on May 20, 2012. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Special singing by the Jimmy Temples Family, and Pastor Josh Cowart says everyone is welcome.
Rev. Leon Smith, Baritone, will present a Gospel Concert at Oostanaula on May 20, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. He has been ivolved in Gospel music as a baritone and lead singer for over 50 years. He is a graduate of Spring Arbor University in Michigan and has a Master of Divinity degree from Emory University. He is a retired elder of North Greorgia Conference of the United Methodist Church. After a career as a corporate executive, Rev. Smith was called into the pastoral ministry and served United Methodist churches in the North Georgia Congerence ove a period of 30 years until his recent retirement. He has had many concerts throughout the eastern United States and Canada, radio and television appearances and the recording of thirteen albums and CDs. He currently does 100 concerts a year. The public is invited to attend this concert of inspiring Gospel music.
Philadelphia Baptist Church will host a Kids Crusade on May 20-24. The times will be Sunday, starting at 6 p.m. and Monday through Thursday, starting at 7 p.m. Tim and Susan Vermaas, with “Good News for Little People,” will be presenting a program with Bible preaching, conservative music, video projection, gospel illusions, ventriloquism, chalk art and much more. All ages are invited to come out of for a wonderful time of learning about God’s word. The church is located on Hensley Road a half a mile off Highway 41 between Calhoun and Adairsville. Adam Crabb, also known as part of the Crabb Family and Crabb Revival, will be performing on Sunday, May 20, 2012 during the AM service at Valley Brook Church of God in Dalton, GA. Adam’s music, including his vocals and harmonica playing, is true to the style that the Crabb Family fan has come to know and enjoy, and is sure to be a blessing.
