Jimmie was born on April 17 in Carroll County, Ga. Daughter of the late Wylie Washington Garnette and Emma Marion Smith Garnette. Jimmie was a member of the Shannon Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Lamar Smith, ten brothers and one sister.
Survivors include; nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Services were conducted on Friday, May 11 at 12 p.m. from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. Alvin Taylor officiating. Burial followed in East View Cemetery in Rome.
Pallbearers served included; Bruce Carnes, Terry Carnes, Mark Colston, Barry Estrander, Dennis Thomas, Ronnie Colston, Mike Carnes, Leroy Taylor, Billy Thomas and Cody Franklin.
The family received friends on Thursday, May 10 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
