He was born, March 24, 1952 in Gordon County, son of the late Charlie Thomas “Buster” Fowler and Myrtle Orene Wade Fowler. Also, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, Thomas J. Fowler, Ruth Thompson, Paul E. Fowler, Doyle E. Fowler, Mary Phillips, John L. Fowler, and Charlene Fowler. He had formerly been employed by Mannington Mills and attended the West Union Baptist Church.
Charles is survived by two brothers, Edd Jones of Chatsworth, Frank Jones of Manchester, Tennessee; three sisters, Catherine Hayes of Dalton, Doris Lanier of Morrow, and Melissa Hunter of Calhoun; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 17 at the West Hill Cemetery of Dalton.
