The arrest was made at the suspects residence and no other arrests are expected, according to Gordon County Chief Deputy Sheriff Robert Paris.
Due to the proximity of the arrest to Fairmount Elementary School, the Sheriff's office contacted the school's Principal Kimm Smith who secured the school in a "modified lockdown."
According to Smith the action was a precautionary measure, and no children were in danger during the arrest which took place several miles away from the school.
A statement from the Sheriff's office will be released and more information about the arrest will be provided.

Larry Thomas Patterson, 42, of 303 Patterson Rd., of Fairmount, was arrested Tuesday, May 8 and charged with two counts of obscene telephone contact with a juvenile, according to Chief Deputy Sheriff Robert Paris of the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office.
Patterson was released Wednesday, May 9, on conditional bond of $30,000.
According to reports, conditions of the bond include the monetary fund listed.
Conditions of the bond state the defendant is to “have no contact, directly or indirectly, through fax, email, telephone, text, computer, through third party or in person with any person under the age of eighteen (18) years.”
Additional conditions of the bond include the defendant to have no access to computer or cell phone, according to an order from the Magistrate Court of Gordon County.
The arrest was made after an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office, according to Paris, who said no other arrests are expected and the suspect was never considered at large.
Prior to the arrest on Tuesday, the Sheriff’s Office contacted Fairmount Elementary School’s principal, Kimm Smith, who ordered a “modified lockdown,” of the school because the arrest was being made a few miles away from the school, though the school was never in danger.
“We maintained our schedule with the exception of locking our exterior doors,” said Smith in a letter to parents. “When situations arise, our foremost priority is the safety of our students. We will always choose to err on the side of caution,” she said.
