SewSue Fabric is hosting beginners quilting classes every Tuesday night 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the new location across from K-Mart at 916 South Wall Street. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call 706-383-8747.
The Gordon County Antique Engine and Tractor Club meets every second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Chuckwagon Restaurant, 1446 Hwy. 41 N. Everyone is welcome.
The Calhoun Pregnancy Center Inc., located on Peters Street at the four-way stop signs, offers free pregnancy test kits, counseling by lay counselors trained in Biblical counseling, and referrals to other agencies. It also offers pregnancy help services including maternity and baby clothes, diapers, and other baby care items and furniture as needed and available. The center will be open on Tuesdays from noon to 4 p.m. and Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and after-hours appointments are available by prior arrangements. All services are free and confidential. Call 706-625-5768 to make an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcome.
