Sonoraville High School senior Jessica Spillers has been named a Discus Award winner for the 2011-2012 school year. Jessica was recognized by a judging panel of education professionals for her achievements in the areas of Arts, Community Service and Work.

As a 2011-2012 Discus Award winner, Spiller’s profile will now be submitted to a scholarship judging panel for 2011-2012 Discus Awards scholarship consideration. The Discus Awards currently award one $2,000 National All-Around Student Scholarship every month of the academic year.

If the judges select Spillers as a scholarship winner, she will be notified and subsequently featured on the contest’s scholarship winners page.
