Two Fairmount residents are in jail following a series of alleged burglaries in their hometown.

According to the Fairmount Police Department:

David William Burns, 48, and Carol Ann Causey, 42, are each charged with burglary, entering a motor vehicle to commit theft and felony theft by taking.

The burglaries and thefts took place the last week of March through the first week of April, in which items were taken from two locations in the town square and one residence on U.S. Highway 411 near the town square.

The two were caught during a traffic stop in Fairmount and arrested.
