Confederate Memorial Day to be observed

Confederate Memorial Day will be observed Sunday, April 29 at 2 p.m. at the Resaca Confederate Cemetery. The keynote speaker will be Charles Bramlett, 1st Brigade Commander, Georgia Division, Sons of Confederate Veterans. Company G, 28th Georgia Volunteer Infantry reenactors, will fire the Memorial honor volleys.

The public is invited to remember our Confederate Veterans in the Sesquicentennial of the War for Southern Independence.

The ceremony is sponsored by General Stand Watie camp #915, Sons of Confederate Veterans, Harriet Gold Chapter #2526, United Daughters of the Confederacy and Company G, 28th Georgia reenactors.
