Ralph Casey, the owner of Casey and Son Horseshoeing School, will be having a meeting for smaller businesses April 30, at 7 p.m. at the depot in downtown Calhoun. He is planning a meeting so that U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson and State Senator Jeff Mullis can be in atten-dance to discuss the forming of a “smaller” business association. He plans to share what he achieved in Washington D.C. and what can be accomplished as a large group. All small busi-ness owners with less than 100 employees are invited to attend and participate in forming this new association.
The Harris Arts Center will be hosting the 3rd Annual Calhoun’s Got Talent soon. Audition dates begin April 30, continuing May 1 and 2 beginning at 5:30 p.m. each night. There is now a lower age limit – 16 and up. $1000 First Prize, $500 Second Prize, $250 Third Prize. Contestants must pre-register by calling 706 629-2599.
