Baby enters world on side of busy Ga. interstate

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say a baby who entered the world on the side of a busy metro Atlanta interstate is doing well.


Sandy Springs police say
a mother gave birth to her child at 3:05 p.m. Thursday -- just before rush hour -- on Interstate 285 near Roswell Road.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the mother was on her way to Northside Hospital when the baby began to come out. The mother and child were taken to Northside after the roadside birth.
