The Chamber Players of the South will present their “American Classics” concert, featuring Rhapsody In Blue and Appalachian Spring, on Saturday March 3 at 7:30 p.m., sponsored by the Harris Arts Center and Gem Theatre.

The Chamber Players of the South is a 25 member professional chamber orchestra. Its members also perform with orchestras in Rome, Macon, Savannah, Chattanooga, and Birmingham.

The piano soloist for the Rhapsody is Dr. Rebekah Jordan-Miller. She has performed widely, both as a soloist and as a collaborative artist in venues throughout Canada, the United States, Austria, Australia, and Norway.

“The staff and Board of Directors for Calhoun’s GEM Theatre are delighted to join forces with the Harris Arts Center to bring this performance to Gordon County,” stated GEM Manager, Clare Lewis.

Tickets for the Chamber Players of the South concert are $20 general admission; $18 for Harris Arts Center and GEM members, $10 for students 18 and under.

Tickets are available online at www.calhoungem.org or at the Gem box office on North Wall Street. Box office is open Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., and Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 3 p.m.-6 p.m.
