It’s a football fan’s fantasy; it’s an advertiser’s audience. It’s the Super Bowl.

The teams have been set—The New York Giants against the New England Patriots—will take the field in Indianapolis Sunday, Feb. 5, at 6:30 p.m. The only thing left to decide is where to watch the big game.

Area restaurants are gearing up to serve game day favorites and staying open for Calhoun and Gordon County fans.

Whether you chose a bar or dining room setting, there are several options in the area that will suit Super Bowl viewers.

Longhorn Steakhouse will serve their normal fare during the big game. Think wild west shrimp, grilled white cheddar mushrooms and Texas onions. For more details, call 706-624-4250.

Parties looking for a lighter palette on Super Bowl Sunday, can mosey on over to Ruby Tuesday for mouthwatering and waist-friendly food: turkey burger wraps, white bean chicken chili and fresh guacamole dip.

Seafood aficionados might try Sharkey’s for the freshest fare from the sea. Surf’s up for crab legs, oysters and lobster tail. Sharkey’s will open on Sunday at 11 a.m. and will continue to open each Sunday after the Super Bowl.
