Two arrested for possession of marijuana near a high school

Two Rome men were being held in jail without bail Monday, charged with possession of marijuana in close proximity to the Coosa High School campus.

According to Floyd County jail reports:

Clay Hightower Peek, 22, of 6 Leisure Drive, and Tony Lee Tolbert, 19, of 10 Skyland Drive, were taken into custody by county police late Sunday night.

Each is charged with felony possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school as well as misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Peek also was charged with possession of drug-related objects.

Both men were being held in jail without bond on the felony charge.
