Thrilled with the success but scrambling to accommodate those who missed their chance, organizers have made alternative arrangements for those still hoping to attend.
Tickets will be sold for the full dress rehearsal and overflow seats will be available in Velo Vineyard the night of the event, allowing guests to view the show via a live feed.
“Even though we couldn’t be more pleased at this overwhelming success, we are determined to allow as many possible to enjoy this event and maximize our fundraising efforts,” said Vickie Spence, Executive Director of United Way of Gordon County. “If there’s a way to avoid turning people away, we are looking for ideas!”
Currently, two options are available for those determined not to miss out on the event. The full dress rehearsal on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. has been opened to the public, with $20 general admission tickets available.
No judging will take place during the rehearsal but all other components of the show will be included, with dancers fully costumed and all competition elements in place.
The night of the event itself, Velo Vineyard will have seating at $20 per person for an additional 100 guests to see the show via a live feed on a remote screen.
“There are some sponsorship openings available for those who wish to take advantage of the promotional packages that include free tickets to the event,” explained Spence. “So far, of course, Mohawk is the premium, signature sponsor but there are several additional packages available which range in price from $500 to $2,500 and offer complimentary tickets, along with promotional considerations. These sponsorship package tickets are the only ones available for guests who want to see the live show inside the beautiful new GEM Theatre.”
Those seeking to vote for contestants in advance may do so by making contributions in the name of their chosen dance team.
Checks made payable to United Way of Gordon County may be mailed (Post Office Box 486, Calhoun, GA 30703) or dropped off at the United Way office in the Downtown Depot. Each dollar secures one vote.
During the events, there will be a variety of ways to support a team. All contributions are tax-deductible.
