The cost to electronically file pleadings in the Court will be reduced by $5 per pleading, to $15, beginning in January, the Magistrate Court of Gordon County announced recently.

According to the Magistrate Court:

In addition to filing small claims and dispossessory actions, parties will also be able to file garnishment actions on-line. The Court’s data processing software vendor will begin offering the electronic filing service sometime in early January.

The fee charged by Criminal Justice Technologies, Inc. is provided for is $5 cheaper than the fee charged by Court’s present e-file vendor. In addition to the reduced costs, the consolidation of e-filing with the over-all software service also improves efficiency in the Court.

Parties who wish to file pleadings electronically in the Gordon County Magistrate Court, including claims and answers to claims, may do so by accessing the Court’s service thru the Court’s webpage on the County’s official website at Gordoncounty.org.

Parties are reminded that they may also access virtually any magistrate court form at the same web page.
