• Calhoun High School Yellow Jackets have reached the semi-finals and will be playing Appling County High School Pirates this Friday at CHS.

• Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home invites you to "Homecoming at Chieftains," Dec. 2, drop in from 7 to 9 p.m. Celebrate the families who lived in the Chieftains House from the 1790s until 1970 by viewing six trees from those eras authentically decorated. Learn what was going on in those days and how it influenced the decorating of the trees. Wonderful music by Lynn Baines, Phil Helton and Gary Greene. • Christmas in Resaca will start this Friday, Dec. 2, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests will tour the beautifully decorated historic Ingle House in downtown Resaca. Admission is $5.

• The Calhoun Unity Group of Narcotics Anonymous meets at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 224 Trammell St., and at Friendship Baptist Church at 452 W. Line St. The meeting time is Friday at 7 p.m. at St. Timothy’s.

• The Sweet Spot, a self-serve frozen yogurt store is open Friday, Sept.16 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The Sweet Spot is closed on Sunday. The business is located at 209 South Wall Street.
