Four people were arrested Monday after $2,000 worth of stolen merchandise was allegedly found in their vehicle.

According to the Gordon County Sheriff's Office:

A deputy pulled over a Ford Explorer Monday that fit the description of a vehicle involved in a reported shoplifting incident at Dollar General Store in Calhoun.

After searching the vehicle, the officer found a large amount of stolen merchandise inside and arrested the four occupants, Tammy Marie Jenkins, 36, Melissa Jean Haley, 29, Felisha Dawn Pirtle, 32, and Bobby Shaun Pack, 27, who were inside the SUV.

The Chatsworth natives are charged with Receiving Stolen Property and detectives cataloged more than $2,000 of stolen property. The merchandise was returned to its rightful owners.

All four remain in the Gordon County Jail.
