Bears (25) vs. Bulldogs (0)
Bears: I King rushed for 2 touchdowns on the night C. Godfrey scored a touchdown, and Z. Lyles scored a touchdown on the night to help lead the Bears to a convincing victory over the Bulldogs. Defensively R. Randall had a nose for the ball recording a game high 6 tackles to sum up the night for the Bears in their semifinal win over the Bulldogs advancing to the finals.
Bulldogs: B. McGinnis recorded a team high 5 tackles on the night while A. George was on his heels with 4 tackles of his own to sum up the Bulldog stats for the night as their season comes to a close THANKS Bulldog Coaching Staff, Parents, and Players for participating in the Gordon County Parks and Recreation 2011 Football Program.
Canes (13) vs. Longhrons (6)
Canes: C. Quarles and D. Padgett were the impact players offensively for the Canes. Together Quarles and Padgett rushed for 183 yards on 7 carries and Quarles punched it in the end zone twice and G Mullins added a PAT to sum up the Canes offense. D. Padgett and C. Worley both tied for the game high with 7 tackles each. D. Heath had 6 solo tackles, and X. Meissner and O. Darnell both had 5 tackles each to sum up the stats for the Canes in their win over the Longhorns advancing to the finals to face the Bears.
Longhorns: D. Lindsey rushed for 113 yards on 10 carries and scored 1 touchdown to sum up the Longhorns offense. Defensively the Longhorns were led by R. Washington who recorded a team high 6 tackles and D. Lindsey added 5 tackles to sum up the season for the Longhorns as they lose to the Canes. Bears: Bears Win the 2011 8U Cherokee Bowl!!! The Impact players for the Bears were J. Hawkins scoring 1 touchdown, S. Schwartz also rushing for a touchdown, R. Randall scored a touchdown, and Z. Lyles led the Bears punching it in the end zone twice. Defensively I. Seritt tied for the game high with 4 tackles, T. Childers, I. King, K. Morrison, and C. Godfrey all recorded 3 tackles each to sum up the stats for the Bears on the night as they are crowned Champions.
