The Walker County Fire Department responded to a house fire at a residence at 8188 Trion Highway, near the Chattooga County line.

The fire occurred at 3:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, according to fire marshal Waymond Westbrook.

Westbrook will be investigating the cause of the blaze after a determination is reached in the Mission Ridge home explosion that occurred Wednesday last week.

Three people were in the home at the time of the fire: a husband, wife and daughter.
