Justin Scales
According to the Gordon County Sheriff's Office:
Deputy sheriffs responded to call at 7 a.m. this morning to a report of a disturbance on a Greyhound passenger bus off I-75 near Calhoun.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they met with a woman who reported that a man had touched her inappropriately while she was sleeping in her seat. She said she awoke and confronted the man. This led the driver of the Greyhound to stop the bus on the side of the interstate.
The man then fled the bus on foot, but was located a short time later near a motel off of Exit 312 by a Georgia State Patrol trooper.
The alleged assailant was, Justin Olen Scales, 28, of Los Angeles, California. Scales is charged with sexual battery.
Deputies also discovered that he was wanted in California for violation of parole.
Scales is currently being held in the county jail.
