MACON, Ga. (AP) — An American supplier is set to be sentenced for shipping fighter jet and attack helicopter parts to help repair Iran's aging aircraft fleet.

Michael Todd of Macon could face as many as 40 years in prison when he's sentenced Wednesday morning for his involvement in the plot.

He pleaded guilty in June to conspiring to illegally export fighter jet and attack helicopter parts from the U.S. to Iran. A second man, Hamid Seifi of Chicago, was already sentenced to more than four years in prison for his role.

The indictment puts the Macon supplier at the nexus of the plot to export military parts for the Bell AH-1 attack helicopter, the UH-1 Huey attack helicopter and fighter jets to Iranian military officials through other suppliers in Europe and the Middle East.
