The day will start with a Gordon County Chamber of Commerce member only Booster Breakfast sponsored by Chick-fil-A of Calhoun at 7:30 a.m. Concluding the breakfast, members will be given a guided VIP tour of the expo booths and the doors will open to the public around 9 a.m. and go until 5 p.m.
More than 60 local businesses are expected to participate and some are even claiming double booths to maximize the business’s exposure.
Attendees can expect special offers and networking opportunities from other businesses and potential customers as well.
According to Joni Harbin of the Gordon County Chamber of Commerce, Andy Baxter Photography will offer professional headshots for $20 on a first-come, first-serve basis and payment is expected the day of the expo. Russell Bennett, co-owner of Opus One and a professional business coach, will be holding on going, half-hour seminars covering various topics.
During the expo, local political candidates can participate in the Political Candidates Forum presented by the Community Development Committee. All candidates are invited to deliver a brief campaign speech at this time.
Both local radio stations will be live at the expo and will provide promotional opportunities throughout the daylong event. Attendees and vendors should listen for more details on the radio regarding the upcoming expo.
Vendors will be giving away prizes and novelty items from their booths throughout the day, and visitors who register with a business card will be included in drawings for items that retail over $25.
Vendors can qualify for grand prize drawings that include an iPad, which was donated by Winter and Scoggins, an overnight stay at Barnsley Gardens, sports tickets and a variety of other prizes.
A the end of the expo, vendors will vote for the “Best Booth” and the winner will receive a free booth at the 2012 expo.
