Monday Oct. 17 will mark the first day of early voting for this year’s general election in Gordon County. The election date will be Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Advanced voting will take place the week prior to the election.

Voters may cast their ballot early in person at the Gordon Board of Elections and Voter Registration Office located in the Courthouse Annex building in Calhoun until Friday, Nov. 4. Voting times are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Vote No! To any Future Splost Make Local Schools Boards and Commissioner and Councilmen and women be accountable for the Wasting of money! I noticed that you failed to mention the fact that there will be a proposal on the ballot to increase taxes via a local sales tax. Why did you leave this important information out? Every Gordon County citizen should make it a point to vote no in this election.

This is NOT just an election for the purpose of selecting city offices!

what a joke. I'm still mad that this guy's son bashed in my neighbor's mailbox and then laughed about it all over town. Surely people see him as a loud mouthed immature fraggle. Not somebody I'd want running the schools.
