The Ashworth boys tallied a team score of 209 to defeat cross-county rival Sonoraville (230) and neighbor-county rival Adairsville (240).
Leading the Warriors to victory was low medalist Mason Miles who shot a nine-hole score of 48. Seth Culpepper followed closely with a 49. Also carding a team score were Turner Seymore (55) and Jonathon Nesbitt (57).
“This was another good outing for our boys,” said AHS coach Melanie Moore. “They started out struggling but settled down to finish with the lead.”
Leading the scoring for Sonoraville was Justin Jones, who carded a 54. Also scoring for the Phoenix were Landon Sanderson (58), Lane Strickland (59), John David Potts (59) and Tristen Key (59).
Destin Van Dyke and Hases Summers led Adairsville with a pair of 59’s. Also scoring for the Tigers Cody Patterson (62) and Canon Wheeler (62).
Sonoraville took the girls competition with a team score of 119. The Lady Warriors followed close behind with a 123. Adairsville made it a three-way race with a 126.
Lady Phoenix Clara Hulsey carded the low score of the day for the girls, shooting a 59. Julia McKinney rounded out the team scoring with a 60.
Ashwoth was led by a 61 from Teagan Lovingood. Tori Hoper added a 62.
Scoring for Adairsville were Keighley Hudzak (62) and Sabrina Fanello (64).
