Georgia man killed in early morning crash

A Duluth, Ga., man who was involved in an early morning crash in Whitfield County died on the way to the hospital.

The 33-year-old man, whose name hasn’t been released pending notification of family, was driving north on Interstate 75 near the Carbondale exit around 1:40 when he appears to have run into a van, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

The man, who was driving a Toyota Camry, then hit an embankment and was ejected from the car, Cpl. Kris Hemphill with the GSP said. The driver wasn’t wearing a seat belt.
