An explosion was reported at the OTR plant located at 145 North Avenue at around 9:20 a.m. this morning.

One building has visible damage to the side of the building and the roof.

Rome-Floyd County Fire Department Chief Gordon Henderson said one person had steam burns but he didn't know to what extent.

Henderson also said the explosion was a steam explosion.

OTR representatives on the scene declined to comment and instructed the reporter to leave the property.

A supervisor advised authorities that there were no serious injuries, according to 911 traffic.

Two people were transported to the hospital with burns according to officials on the scene.
