The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) at Sonoraville High School hosted a Summer Leadership and Officer Training Summit (SLOTS) for FBLA officers and members from the Northwest Georgia area on July 21.

More than 170 students and advisers and students attended the training, delivered by Georgia FBLA Director, Monty Rhodes, and student members of the executive council.

FBLA SLOTS provide an opportunity for club members to learn leadership and teamwork skills, as well as specific requirements of their offices held.

Members can then take activities and skills learned back to their chapters to incorporate the following year.

SHS FBLA members who participated include: Tristen Campbell, Anna Carver, Ethan Farist, Josh Harkins, Brandi Hayes (Adviser), Landon Holmes, Lisa Smith (Adviser), Collin Stoner, Kailey Vaughn and Ashley Vega.

Students were involved in team building activities and workshops specific to their role as an officer and as members of this dynamic youth group.
