A Calhoun man was arrested after allegedly pouring a Mountain Dew on his ex-girlfriend and causing extensive damage to her truck.

According to the Calhoun City Police:

Justin Wade Stanley 24, of Hall Memorial Road, Calhoun, is charged with simple battery and criminal damage to property in the second degree.

The victim told police that Stanley, her ex-boyfriend, approached her and said that she had hurt him by dating his cousin and that "her little truck was going to pay for it."

Stanley then poured Mountain Dew on her before walking to her truck to pour more of the soft drink through the open window of her car, according to the victim.

He then "hit and busted the front windshield with his elbow and took out a pocket knife and scratched the outside of the truck all the way around," the report stated.

Stanley then allegedly kicked the right side door and punched the fender, leaving a dent.

Stanley remains at the Gordon County Jail.

I'm just glad the author of this article mentioned the specific brand of the offending soda, so that all soda doesn't get a bad wrap. That's what I call responsible news reporting!

I am glad the drink wasn't a Coke, she would be trying to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony. Ban all the Mtn. Dews! Dad blame it!
