A former employee of LG Hausys in Atlanta has filed a lawsuit, claiming a “charge of discrimination” with the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) on July 26th.

According to the lawsuit papers:

Ladonna Looney, was employed from February 2010 to about May 19, 2011 in the accounting department in Atlanta as an accounts payable clerk.

Looney’s reasoning for the lawsuit was based on the fact that her “plaintiff’s supervisors emphasized on a regular, recurrent basis that the ‘Korean way’ of doing things governed all aspects of Plaintiff’s job, does not permit an employee to question her boss about any job issue, and was the only acceptable way of performing her job.”

Futhermore, Looney said, “supervisors treated plaintiff’s Korean coworkers more favorably than Plaintiff with respect to compensation and bonuses, lunch breaks, and various aspects of office schedules and protocol.”

LG Hausys is a surface countertop manufacturer and has a operation set up in Gordon County.
