A 14-year-old was detained this afternoon in connection with eight large marijuana plants found in the Newtown community.

According to the Gordon County Sheriff's Office:

Deputy sheriffs, Georgia State Patrol, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Aviation Authority and the Georgia Army National Guard were conducting an aerial search in Gordon County.

They discovered eight large marijuana plants growing in a wooded area in the Newtown community and dispatched a ground team to confiscate the plants.

Deputies also detained a 14-year-old child who lived nearby in connection with the marijuana. The child was processed and released.

This must be one of the 14 year olds that my son is talking about when he ask why he doesn't have more freedom like the other kids

Great job there Mitch,you busted a real kingpin there.Keep wasting our money on busts like this and you will not have a job come next election.
