* Guyequoni-Time of the Ripe Corn Moon will take place at New Echota Saturday, July 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Historic demonstrations, featuring Cherokee watercolor artist, Billy Mack Steele, who will create a special painting depicting the Cherokee storytelling tradi-tion. All buildings will be open with volunteers from Friends of New Echota available to answer questions. Admission fee allows access to museum, film, and self-guided tour of historic grounds, buildings, and nature trails. All proceeds support programming, preserva-tion, and education at New Echota State Historic Site. The site is located one mile east of I-75, exit 317, on GA Hwy. 225. Admission is $4 - $6. * Heritage Baptist Church will sponsor a school supply giveaway Saturday, July 30, from 9 a.m. to noon. Backpacks will be filled with needed supplies and handed out at the church, located at 345 Curtis Parkway. For more information or to make a donation, call Steve Wil-liams at 678-986-6575.
* TrueNorth Church will be providing a hot meal to those families in need Saturday, July 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Boy Scout building located just inside the Yellow Jacket Football Stadium.
* The Youth of Victory Fellowship Center will be hosting a School Supply Giveaway on Saturday, July 30 from 9:00 a.m. to noon or as long as the supplies last.
