Father arrested for allegedly shooting son

A Bartow County was arrested Tuesday, July 19, for allegedly shooting his son, reports stated.

According to Cartersville police reports:

Police responded to 213 Dogwood Drive in Cartersville at approximately 7:20 p.m. after a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers were met by a 38-year-old man who stated he had been shot in the arm by his father.

The suspect, Jerome Ralph Stone, surrendered without incident and was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters for questioning.

The alleged victim was transported to Floyd Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries and released a few hours later.

Jerome Stone is currently in the Bartow County Jail.
