ATLANTA (AP) — Three finalists have been unveiled for Georgia's new license plate, each featuring a peach.

The three plate designs were selected from more than 500 entries submitted by the public.

A panel of Georgia college and university art professors narrowed the selection to eight. An online public vote chose the final three designs.

Gov. Nathan Deal will announce the winner Friday at a state Capitol news conference.

A sticker featuring the logo "In God We Trust" may be purchased for an additional dollar at county tag offices. The optional sticker was featured on each of the proposed plates on the state Department of Revenue website Wednesday but was removed Thursday.

The state will begin issuing the plate next year.

Seems really fitting, seeing as how South Carolina is the top producer of peaches.

Well, little big government (GA.) got afraid and once again changed their minds.

Just two weeks ago the people of Georgia were voting on our Ga. tag; however, now higher learning professors get to make this decision. This saddens me, because I know that as a whole the people of Ga. voted for the IN GOD WE TRUST tags. (Sadly, Most professors are atheist.) Bless their stuppid heads and darling hearts!
