According to Floyd County Jail records:

Bruce Robert Umbrell, 26, of 102 Tyler Street, Rome, is charged with felony enticing a child for indecent purposes.

According to the affidavit for arrest, between Feb. 1 and March 30 Umbrell tried to solicit or entice to meet with a child under the age of 16. Police say his intent was “for indecent acts or child molestation.”

Umbrell sent multiple text messages to the child asking to meet before school at 6 a.m. and saying, “we can’t break up, we haven’t had sex yet.”
