Paradise Drag Strip on Highway 225 will host a Show Go and Swap Meet Saturday, July 2. The show will begin at 9 a.m. for spectators and last all day. General admission will cost $10.

“People come from all over for the show,” said Carol Timms, wife of the late proprietor of Paradise Drag Strip, Otto Timms.

“It’s just an all-day fun thing to do,” she said. “We have nostalgia cars. It’s really fun for families.

“A lot of vendors will be there selling lots of things for cars,” Timms said. “There will be a lot of good deals.”

“The car show is always interesting” she said. “Drag racing is probably the most interesting thing of the day.”

In addition to the car show, Paradise Drag Strip will continue to host regular car racing on Friday nights at 5 p.m.

“It’s really a lot of fun,” Timms said.
