Allison Leigh Payne and Jerry Christopher Mulkey, both of Calhoun, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The future bride is the daughter of William and Betty Payne of Calhoun. She is the mother of Jonah and Laici Long. She is the sister of Blake and Rachel Payne of Calhoun. She is the granddaughter of the late Floyd and Dorothy Payne of Adairsville and the late Charles and Marie Mitchell of Rydal.

The bride-elect graduated in 2000 from Calhoun High School. She attended Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. She is currently attending Georgia Northwestern Technical College working on her Diagnostic Medical Sonography degree.

The future groom is the son of Jerry and Judy Mulkey of Calhoun. He is the brother of Regina and Terry Mulkey of Orlando, FL, Cindy and Steve Paul of Calhoun, and Brooke and Barry Holbert of Canton. He is the grandson of Myrtle Roberson and the late Delma Mulkey of Calhoun and the late Gordon and Jean Goble of Calhoun.

The groom-elect graduated in 2001 from Calhoun High School. He attended Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC. He currently works at Mulkey’s Menswear and Tuxedo Rental in Calhoun and is attending Georgia Northwestern Technical College working on his Drafting Technologies degree.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, June 25, 2011, at the home of her parents, William and Betty Payne. Formal invitations have been sent.
