The GRPA 5th District Tournaments started across Northwest Georgia for the Calhoun All-Star teams. Calhoun Recreation Department is the host of the 7-8 Girls, 11-12 Girls and 11-12 Boys. The 7-8 Boys are traveling to Cedartown, the 9-10 Girls are traveling to Murray County and the 9-10 Boys are traveling to Summerville. Games will be played throughout the week with the championship games slated for Thursday night for all of the tournaments.
The results for the Calhoun All-Star teams after Monday nights games:
7-8 Girls – defeated Summerville – 17-0. Will play Rockmart tonight at 8:00pm
7-8 Boys – lost Cedartown Blue – 19 – 4; defeated Cedartown Red – 17-16; will play winner of Cedartown vs Rockmart at 8:00pm tonight.
9-10 Girls – lost to Summerville – 17 – 11. Will play loser of Gordon Co. vs. Murray Co. tonight at 6:30pm
9-10 Boys – defeated Cedartown- 12 – 0. Will play Wednesday
11-12 Girls – defeated Rockmart – 15 – 8. Will play Cedartown tonight at 6:00pm
11-12 Boys – defeated Rockmart – 17-1. Will play Rockmart tonight at 8:00pm
