A Calhoun man remains in jail after allegedly throwing a beer bottle at his girlfriend, shattering in her face in front of her juvenile son.

According to the Calhoun City Police:

Darnial Santos Diaz, 29, of Calhoun, has been charged with one count of aggravated battery and one count of cruelty to children.

The report states that officers were called out to the house in Calhoun late Saturday evening. When they arrived, there was a female standing in her doorway holding a bloody t-shirt over her face.

She told the officers that her boyfriend had thrown a beer bottle at her, striking her in the face causing the bottle to shatter.

The victim also stated that the incident had happened in front of her juvenile son.

Diaz remains in the Gordon County Jail.

this is all wrong this isnt what happen this evening. darinel didnt shatter a beer bottle in her face he broke one over her head and throw a pieace of it at her witch that pieace cut her arm real bad thats why she was holding a bloody shirt on her arm. this has never happened to her. darinel and her has been togather for over seven years. he is a good man and a great step father to those kids. this evening they got in a big crazy agruement and he just snapped and all this happen. i know people are thinking sure but this is the honest god turth every one that knows them will tell you they are a happy coulpe. and never ever saw any thing bad happen to them. this families life is turned up side down they are very sad and wontimg their family back togather and if gods will they will be back togather,because they love each other.

What, we don't have enough women abusers here, now we have to import them? they should send him to Afghanistan, so he can really fight!

I hope someone explains to this person the example he is setting for this child.
