Winners of the Calhoun High School Beta Club's annal Good Citizenship Contest were announced this week, with Emma Brownlee and Reed Davis tieing for first place honors. This is the first time in the history of the competition that there has been a tie for top honors.
First runners- were Wanye Barton, Ronnie Nelson, and Marcus Overton. Second runners-up included Ann Beason, Shirley Mcore and Dottie Wilson, while third runner-up honors went to Banks David, Betty Chitwood, Curtis Driver and Shelby Reeves
In addition, 33 seniors, 24 juniors, 17 sophomores and 29 freshmen were name for consideration in the contest.
The Calhoun Beta Club has sponsor the project for the past four years in order to promote and interest the student body in cultivating good citizenship qualities.
