CEOs: Georgia Fifth Best for Business

Georgia climbed two spots to become the fifth best in an annual survey in which CEOs rank the business climate of American states.

Southern states dominated the top five slots in the seventh year of Chief Executive magazine's "Best and Worst States" survey. Texas claimed the top spot for the seventh year running. North Carolina, Florida and Tennessee ranked second, third and fourth best, respectively.

California was named the worst state for business, followed by New York, Illinois, New Jersey and Michigan in the bottom five.
