The quick coming of spring means a lot of things to a lot of people, but to Gordon Central teacher Barbara Hall it means yearbooks are nearly here. Distribution day is approaching which means the student body finally gets to see the product of a very difficult year in the realm of journalism. Production costs increase every year, but sales have been slow.

Hall recently had an idea to not only raise money for future production but also give Gordon Central graduates a second chance to get one if they missed theirs the first time around. On April 16, the yearbook staff will be holding a Yearbook Sidewalk Sale. The sale incorporates yearbooks from past years being sold at discounted prices.

Books dating back to the 80’s will now cost $25.00, books from the 90’s will be $30.00, books from 2000 – 2005 are $40.00, books from 2006 – 2008 will be $50.00, and books produced after 2008 will be sold at regular price.

Books from 2008 through 2011 are on sale for $70 to $75. Orders can be paid for with cash or a check. Make checks payable to Gordon Central High School. 2011 yearbooks can be purchased online at yearbookordercenter.com. Books can be picked up in room 302 at Gordon Central.

“Yearbooks are the perfect way to retrace your steps and remember all that was good and innocent during the best time of your life – high school. We hope this yearbook sidewalk sale will be an affordable way to recapture those memories,” stated yearbook adviser Ms. Barbara Hall.
