BASEBALL: SMS wins eighth straight

The SMS Diamond Phoenix cruised to their eighth consecutive victory on Friday, with a 14-0 shutout at Woodland. It was the sixth shutout in eight games for the Phoenix.

Drew Wilson pitched a complete game, striking out 11, giving up only three hits in the five inning contest.

Offensively, Sonoraville pounded out 15 hits.

Cal King was 2-for-2 from the plate, including three stolen bases and two RBI's.

Wilson was 3-for-4, with an RBI and three runs scored.

Brevin Harris (2 RBI's), Griff Bryant (3 RBI's), and Thad Harris (2 RBI's) picked up two hits each in the contest.

Patrick Thurman, Clark Johnson, Avery Boley, and Easton Gallmon each registered a hit.

Zack Collum, Ryan Gross, and Bryson Peace all scored for the Phoenix.

Sonoraville will host Cass at Sonoraville on Tuesday, March 22nd at 4:30.
