Mr. and Mrs. Barry and Patricia Evans of Ranger announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kirbie Renee Evans to Cpl. Paul Benson Price, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Rose Chastain of Asheville, N.C. and the late Mr. James Price.

The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. Cecil Pack of Ranger and the late Mrs. Bessie Pak, Mrs. Jean Evans of Fairmount and the late Mr. Arthur “Bill” Evans. She is the sister of Selena Evans Garland and her husband, Monty Garland of Plainville; Adam Evans of Ranger; and twin sister Ashley Evans Bruce and her husband Spc. Dustin Bruce of Fayetville, N.C. She is the aunt of Blake, Brett, and Eian Garland of Plainville.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of the School of Tomorrow Accelerated Christian Education program and is employed by David Daycare of Calhoun.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joe and Peggy Ballew of Asheville, N.C. He is the brother of Beverly Price, Christina Price, Amanda Price, Matthew Price, and Nick Price, all of Asheville, N.C. He is a 2006 graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School of Asheville and is currently serving in the U. S. Marine Corps 3rd MAR DIV, stationed in Camp Swab, Okinawa, Japan.

The wedding will be held at Concord Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, Mar. 26, at 2 p.m. A reception will follow in the church dining hall. Formal invitations have been sent, but all family and friends are invited.
