Bartow Co. inmate captured on jailhouse roof after attempted escape

An inmate at the Bartow County Jail faces additional charges after being apprehended on the rooftop of the jail in an attempted escape, reports stated.

According to Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap:

Brian Troy Aberle was spotted by contractors on the roof of the jail on Thursday February 17, 2011 at approximately 11:00 a.m. Deputies responded to the roof where Aberle was arrested without further incident. Aberle escaped to the roof during recreation time with other inmates.

Aberle was charged with Criminal Damage to Government Property for cutting his jail issued uniform on the protective wire on the roof and Escape.
